Blogs for artificial intelligence and many of my hobbies...
About Me
I am searching for an interesting retirement life after my academic tenure. My updated interesting include,
not limited to, artificial intelligence (AI), philosophy reading, birding, skiing, tennis, golf, swimming,
skating, violin, curling and travelling (click the small images below for details). To set up this web home, I
would like to thank my wife, Mei, for effective communication, understanding and support of my retirement
life, my son, Michael for programming skill guidance at professional level, my nephew, Haoming for string
music instrument knowledges, my former colleagues, students and all friends around the world for visiting my
home page.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research via Philosophy Reading
I am an AI researcher for many years, however, I have never believed that it can replace
human
intelligence like philosophy study, for example.
My AI blogs intend for people interesting to current AI trends, specifically, in machine
learning, deep
learning neural networks and big data.
Philosophy is best when it responds to intellectual challenges arising in other areas of
thought, like
artificial intelligence, physics, or other science subjects. My simple reading book is:
The Ultimate Truth (About Love & Happiness): A Handbook to Life Paperback – Jan. 1 2003
by Lester Levenson
- Man cannot make this Truth nor can he change this Truth ...
- Happiness is our inharent state. Happiness is you being you without any nagativity.
An alternative thinking pattern is: "Per aspera ad astra!"
One of the most interesting features of "morden AI tech" is the capability to transfer image styles.
One of my hobbies is wild life photography with my wife Mei, it is amazing to find out how
people love citation styles in social media which may not be very similar to the concept of
traditional academic citation.
Specifically designed neural networks can transfer bird photos into multi-artistic styles with different
"degree" controls, i.e.
photo realistic or painting looking effects.
